PA JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL SENATE SCHOLARSHIP

The Pennsylvania JCI Senate annually sponsors a scholarship for senior students who are recidents of PS.  They will be awarding 2 - $500 scholarships this year.  The applications of these 2 recipients will be forwarded to the United States JCI Senate for consideration to receive an additional national grant of $1000.  For more information go to www.usjcisenate.org.  Application packets are available on the website.   Deadline is January 11, 2019

PenSPRA 2018 Scholarship

The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association wants to encourage and promote the field of public relations to public high school students through an educational scholarship for those interested in studying the field or related subjects (i.e. journalism, English, public relations, advertising, graphic arts, etc.). The candidate should have maintained a 3.0 GPA, and have been accepted to or applied at a two or four-year college, vocational-technical school, or other institution of higher learning.
The award consists of three one-year scholarships worth $1000 each. Scholarships will be awarded to one public school student from each of PenSPRA's three regions (Eastern, Central and Western). We invite all interested candidates to complete and submit an application. 

Completed applications for the Class of 2018 must be postmarked by Friday, March 9, 2018. Incomplete applications will not be considered.  Visit http://www.penspra.org and follow the links to scholarship info to download the application.

PAEOP  2019 Hermine Solt Student Scholarship

$500 scholarship given to PA senior applicant planning on pursuing a major in the busines field at a 2 or 4 year college, university, or trade school.  Applications can be found at www.paeop.com under Award & Scholarships.  Deadline is March 1, 2019.

SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS of LEHIGH VALLEY SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships of up to $5000 will be awared to women graduating in 2019 and enrolling in an engineering program at a college or university in the fall of 2019. SME EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

 

Students MUST be registered (one- time registration) with the SME Education Foundation, in order to complete the application process. Scholarships range from $1000- $6000 and can be used for tuition, books or lab/course fees related to attaining a technical or engineering education.

THE BEAUTY + WELLNESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

SKINCARE OX, a company whose mission is to simplify the world of skin care, is offering scholarhips of $4000/year to support the health of college women.  Each quarter a $1000 + a care package filled with healthy organic skin care products will be awarded to young women as they pursue their higher education goals. The John P. McNulty Scholars Progam for Women at Saint Joseph's University

SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY READING COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP A $200 scholarship is available to high school seniors who plan to attend college and major in education.  A short essay explaining how reading and education helped mold your interest in becoming a teacher.  Applications are available in guidance and deadline is March 23, 2018.

SCHOOL NUTRITION ASSOCIATION OF PENNSYLVANIA TRI COUNTY CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP  THE LOCAL CHAPTER OF SNAP IS OFFERING A $500 SCHOLARSHIP TO A GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR INTENDING TO PURSUE A CAREER IN FOOD SERVICE, NUTRITION, OR RELATED FIELD.  MORE INFORMATION AND APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE. DEADLINE IS MARCH 31, 2018.

PENN STATE HAZLETON WILL BE HOLDING THEIR 4TH ANNUAL S.T.E.M. 2018 PACB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM + FRANK A. PINTO SCHOLARSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE

Seniors whose parent is an employee of First Columbia Bank & Trust, or any other member of the PACB, is eligible to apply for a chance to be awarded a $1000 renewable scholarship, plus $500 for the first year, towards full time attendance at a university or community college.  Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for submission is February 23, 2018.

  5. Robert W Valimont Endowment - Open to senors [child or grandchild of PA Legionnaire] Planning on 2-year career-oriented education or training in a less-than-4-year program in PA school.  May 1, 2019 deadline.
  6. Robert Trace Essay Contest - Open to students 15-18 years of age [child or grandchild of PA Legionnaire living or deceased or child of PA soldier killed as a result of war on terrorism]  300 - 500 word essay on the topic "Patriotism and Citizenship - What America means to me"  Winner receives $500  May 1, 2019 deadline.

 

USW District 10 - Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program.

The United Steelworkers Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program offers scholarships each year with a total value of $4,000 [$1,000 per year for 4 years].  Scholarships will be awarded in June 2018. 

  • Eligibility - Applicant must be a member or the son or daughter or leagal ward of a member of United Steelworkers, District 10
  • Method of Selection - Committee will review the applicant's grades, results of college entrance examinations, other info supplied by the high school and conduct interviews as they determine the award winners. 
  • How to Apply - Applications may be obtained, upon request, from participating local unions.  Applications must be completed and mailed no later than March 15, 2018 and mailed to:
