Mrs. Smith has been the elementary school librarian since 2004.  She earned her library science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and taught for 2 years in Pittsburgh Public Schools prior to moving to Bloomsburg. Mrs. Smith also lived in Alaska for nine years. She now shares some of her arctic experiences with students, including a fun unit on the Iditarod Sled Dog Race.
