100th District IV Championship

On Thursday the Central Columbia Boys Swimming team won the District IV team Championship at Williamsport High School.  We wish to express our congratulations to the boys swimming team and head coach Dan Noss on their achievement.

This event marks the 100th District IV Championship in Central Columbia history, by far the most of any school.  It is fitting that the century mark was reached by the boy’s swimming team as it marks the 23rd District title for boy’s swimming, tying the boys’ program with the most ever in school history with the girls’ swimming team (also with 23).

Other sports winning District IV Championships include:

  • Baseball—13 times
  • Softball—12
  • Girls’ Basketball—6
  • Boys’ Basketball—5
  • Football—3
  • Golf—3
  • Boys’ Tennis—3
  • Wrestling—2
  • Girls’ Track and Field—2
  • Field Hockey—1
  • Girls’ Soccer—1
  • Boys’ Track and Field—1
  • Boys’ Cross Country—1
  • Girls Cross Country—1

The successes of our athletic program are just another metric signifying Central Columbia as one of the top-rated school districts in Pennsylvania and are further evidence of the talent and dedication of our students, teachers, coaches, staff and parents.  These athletic accomplishments, along with our quality extra-curricular program, our highly rated academic program, our progressive digital conversion initiative and our state-of-the-art Career Pathway Program define Central Columbia as an elite school district.

Congratulations again to the Boys’ Swimming team for winning the District IV Championship!
