CCMS End of the Year Procedures

Students will report to the gymnasium on the designated day and time based on their last name to disperse students and maximize social distancing inside the building.  Students will clean out lockers and drop off library books/school items and pick up awards.  iPads will not be collected and will remain with the students during the summer.

Tuesday, May 26 All grades 5-8
9:00 AM-11:00 AM - Students with last name beginning with A, B, or C
11:00 AM- 1:00 PM -Students with last name beginning with D, E, F, or G

Wednesday, May 27 All grades 5-8
9:00 AM-11:00 AM -Students with last name beginning with H, I, J, or K
11:00 AM- 1:00 PM -Students with last name beginning with L, M, N, or O

Thursday, May 28 All grades 5-8
9:00 AM-11:00 AM Students with last name beginning with P, Q, R, or S
11:00 AM- 1:00 PM Students with last name beginning with T, U, V, W, X, Y, or Z

All students should be dropped off and enter the west entrance of CCMS Gymnasium near the origin of the bus lane.  ONLY students will be permitted in the school building.  We encourage parents to remain in their car and arrange a designated pick up location in the parking lots nearest the tennis courts.

Note: The bus lane will be closed to any traffic to increase the safety of the students exiting the building to the parking lots after retrieving their belongings.

What to bring:
A mask- students will not be permitted into the building without a mask
Library books
Any other items that need to be returned to the school
Backpack or additional bags to collect personal belongings

Upon entry to the building
Students will be directed to the areas of the building for which they need access—for example, locker room, library book drop-off area, and grade level locker.  We will limit the number of students in each area and maintain a safe distance at all times.
Students will follow the designated ONE-WAY travel pattern in the building
Students will retrieve personal belongings from the locker room if needed
Students will drop off library books
Students will return any additional school resources at the grade level wing
Students will collect personal belongings from grade level lockers leaving the locker open to designate that it has been emptied for summer cleaning
Teachers will give an end of year award folder to students who have earned awards for the 2019-2020 school year

Exit procedures
7th and 5th-grade students will exit the front of the building utilizing the 5th-grade doors
8th and 6th-grade students will exit the front of the building utilizing the 6th-grade doors
Students will reunite with parents for pick up at the west end of the building where they were dropped off
