Central Columbia Boys Swim Team Wins District IV Title

District IV Champions

The Central Columbia Boys Swim Team won the District IV Swimming/Diving Championship on Thursday, February 28th.

Highlights from the District IV Championships

Boys Medley Relay Team of Madden, Gronka, Kishbaugh, and N. Sponenberg won the 200 Medley Relay AND broke the school record in the event swimming a 1:41.66.

Mason Irwin won the 200 Freestyle AND broke the school record with a 1:44.79.   Connor Empie also placed 2nd in the event.

Grant Gronka placed 2nd in the 50 Freestyle.

Nick Kishbaugh placed 3rd in the 100 Butterfly.

Boys 200 Free Relay Team of Empie, N. Sponenberg, Kurian, and Irwin won Gold.

Connor Empie placed 3rd in the 100 Freestyle.

Mason Irwin won the 500 Freestyle.  Andrew Sponenberg placed 2nd.

Sarah McHenry placed 4th in the 100 Backstroke AND broke the school record in the event swimming a 59.76.

Grant Gronka placed 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke.

Boys 400 Free Relay Team of Empie, Kurian, Gronka, and Irwin won the event AND broke the school record in the event swimming a 3:17.50.
