This curriculum guide has been developed with the hope that it will provide you with valuable information about the curriculum in the middle school. Although we value the interpersonal relationships, social interaction, and cultural experiences that evolve at school, the essence of your child's education revolves around the written curriculum in all subjects.

Our curriculum, which enables each child to reach his or her potential, has been developed through a careful review process which included an analysis of current research, the use of student assessment results, input from staff and parents, and input from the district's Strategic Plan.

We encourage you to review this guide and to keep it for future reference. Complete curriculum materials are available for your review and may be obtained by contacting your child's teacher, guidance counselor, or building principal. Parents may request to have their children excused from specific instruction that may conflict with their religious beliefs by submitting a request in writing to the building principal.

We hope that you find the content of this curriculum brochure informative and that it will serve to strengthen the communication between home and school -- which is vital to your child's academic success. Please feel free to call the school with questions, comments, or concerns.
