Each year Mr. Curt Turner, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, CCSD offers a PA Hunter/Trapper Education Course. This course will be offered at no cost to Central Columbia students. Students must be 11 years old by the first day of this course and should be 12 years old by the next hunting season and must be a Central Columbia student.

The hunter safety course will be taught by Mr. Curt Turner, a certified instructor, in the middle school 5th/6th grade large group room. All materials will be supplied by the PA Game Commission.

Students MUST ATTEND ALL CLASSES which are scheduled from 2:30 pm - 5:15 pm from Monday, February 1 through Thursday, February 4. No classes will be held if school is closed or dismissed early due to weather conditions. (Friday, February 5 will be scheduled as a make up day if there are weather related issues). Transportation home after the course is the responsibility of parents/guardians.

All students MUST know their entire mailing address, phone number, and birth date. If needed, a student should have a written copy containing this information for the first day of this course.
