MyDrives (student access)  is our off campus access to district home directories via the internet.

If you have Windows XP, follow this procedure:

  1. Open, My Network Places* (usually found on your desktop).

  2. Double click on, Add Network Place (will open the Add Network Place Wizard), click on NEXT.

  3. Double click on; choose the address of a Web site, network location, or FTP site.

  4. Type: https://mydrives.ccsd.cc/students in the text box and then click on NEXT.

  5. When prompted to log in use your local user name, your username@ccsd.local  (jsmith@ccsd.local) and then your universal password.

  6. Create a Name; Type MyDrives in the text box.

  7. Click on Finish.

In your My Network Places, you will find the MyDrives network icon. Double click it to open the network access to your campus home directory. When you open MyDirves, you will see folders listed by graduation year. Select your graduation year and then your home directory.

* If My Network Places is not on your desktop background, right click on the background and select, Properties.  Click on the Desktop tab, and then click on the Customize Desktop. Click on the check box next to My Network Places, and then click on OK (click, OK on the Display Properties window to close it).  The My Network Places will now appear on your desktop.

If you have Windows 7, follow this procedure:

  1. Click on this LINK (MyDrives3), download and RUN the software.

  2. After you RUN the install a window will appear. Type in your user name and password. Then click on "Map My Drives!".

  3. It takes about 15 to 20 seconds for the install script to run. A window will open and then a window showing your connected hard drives and network drives will open.

  4. Look for a mapped drive with your user name. Click to open it. You now have access to your home directory until you reboot you PC.

If this does not work, then try the procedure below:

  1. Click on Start Globe and select, Computer.

  2. Right click anywhere on the right side of that opened window. Select, Add a Network Location.

  3. The Add Network Location window is now open, Click on NEXT.

  4. Double left click on the, Choose a custom network location.

  5. Type: https://mydrives.ccsd.cc/students in the text box and then click on NEXT.

  6. When prompted to log in ccsd.cc/studentsuse the LOCAL user name, example, username@ccsd.local (jsmith@ccsd.local) and then your universal password.

  7. Type “MyDrives” in the text box, to name the network location.

  8. Click on NEXT, then Click on Finish.

You will now have My Drives added to your Network Location area in the Computer window. To access this in the future, Click on the Start Globe, select Computer and then My Drives. When you open MyDirves, you will see folders listed by graduation year. Select your graduation year and then your home directory.

If you have an Apple Mac OS, follow this procedure:

  1. Run Finder
  2. Pull down the Go menu and select Connect to Server
    Type in "https://mydrives.ccsd.cc/students" and click Connect
  3. When prompted to log in use the local user name, your username@ccsd.local  (jsmith@ccsd.local) and then your universal password.
  4. Once connected, open the folder by double-clicking it, then scroll to your name.
