The NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse is the organization that handles all inquiries regarding an individual’s initial eligibility status for Division I and Division II. The Clearinghouse operates a separate website at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net which maintains and processes all of the initial eligibility certifications.
To Register with the Clearinghouse
After junior year, students can fill out the online form at the Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse website and then bring a signed copy o the Student Release Form to the Guidance Secretary who will mail a copy of transcript, which includes final grades through junior year.
Your application will not be complete if the Clearinghouse does not have your transcript AND SAT results.
Customer Service: 1-877-262-1492, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Central Standard Time.
Individuals unable to file electronically, or who do not want to provide a Social Security Number, should complete a paper version of the Student Release Form available from your high school counselor.
Transcripts and test scores must be sent directly to the Clearinghouse. These cocuments cannot be faxed or submitted online. There are many reasons why a student’s academic document could be determined to be “unofficial” and therefore unacceptable for the Clearinghouse purposes. If a document is not received in a official high school envelope of is received with the student’s return address, this document could be marked as “unofficial.” “Official” high school documents must be received in an envelope easily determined to be from the school and on high school stationery. Test scores must come to the Clearinghouse directly from the testing agencies (selection of the Clearinghouse can be made using code “0000”). Please not the Student Score Reports and test scores taken from a Student Score Report cannot be used by the Clearinghouse.
