Inductees to the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2023

Jen Antolick

Jen Antolick, a 1997 graduate of Central Columbia High School, participated in basketball and softball where she was a team captain for the basketball team during her senior year.  Jen was a valuable member of both the basketball and softball teams where she provided leadership both on and off the court and field. During her basketball career, Jen participated in 110 games missing only two games in her four-year career. She scored 1,382 points averaging 12.56 points per game for her career. She pulled down 533 rebounds, 213 assists and 221 steals during her career. She also holds the single season record for three-point goals as well as the single season record for free throws.  She made 229 three-point shots and was an all-conference all-star selection.  She aided the girls’ basketball program with three Mid-Penn League Championships, a District Four Triple A Championship and Eastern Quarter Final showing in the state tournament.

Clark Whitenight

Clark Whitenight graduated in 1957 and was very involved in his years at Central Columbia High School.  Clark participated in basketball and baseball.  Clark earned eight varsity letters during his high school athletic career. He was a vital player on the championship team he represented which is the 1957 Baseball Team. Clark was also a member of the teams that captured the Columbia County League Title. Clark was offered the opportunity to try out with the Brooklyn Dodgers following graduation in 1957. Clark spent many years coaching several Little League, Teener League and Junior Legion Teams to championships. He married Jean and they live in the Berwick Area having one son, Brian who married Jackie and together they have a daughter, Rachel.

Herbert Lupini

Herbert Lupini, a 1957 graduate of Central Columbia High School where he was an outstanding three-sport athlete.  Herbert excelled in baseball, basketball and soccer.  He earned numerous varsity letters in four years of athletics here at Central Columbia. During his athletic career, Herbert set several records that still stand today.  In baseball, he held a 10-1 record. In basketball, he was named to the league’s All-Star Team. While participating in basketball, Herbert was Central Columbia’s first 1,000-point scorer; scoring 1,041 points in his career.  He worked for 35 years at Kawneer as their chief plant engineer. Herbert resides in The Villages, Florida with his wife.  Together they have three children Elizabeth, Rodney and Gregory and five grandchildren Derek, Natalie, Dylan, Dalton and Dakota.

Holly McCullough-Serafini

Holly McCullough is a 2002 Central Columbia graduate where she participated in four sports for four years during her athletic career. She participated in soccer, cross-country, swimming and track and field earning 12 varsity letters during her career. In swimming, she was an eight-time district champion and a two-time all-state selection. In 2002, she was named the District Four Outstanding Female Athlete for the 2001-2002 school year. She furthered her athletic talent at Bloomsburg University lettering in Women’s Swimming as well as Women’s Water Polo. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with her bachelor’s degree in Education and then continued into her master’s degree in Special Education. She is currently entering her 13th year of teaching at Southern Columbia where she instructs her 6th grade class.  Holly is married to her husband Tony and together they have three children; Joey, Charlotte and Ruby as well as expecting their four child any day.

Girl's Track and Field 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team

This 2014 PIAA PHAC, District Four and State Championship team was comprised of four members: Colleen Kitchen, Class of 2015, Graycie Juckes, Class of 2014, Hannah Klingerman, Class of 2017 and Ellen Shepard, Class of 2014.  Each of these girls were multiple sport athletes participating in and lettering in soccer, swimming and diving, basketball and cheerleading for four years during their high school careers. This team was also the 2013 PIAA State Track and Field State Championship Runner-Up in the 4 X 100 Relay. This team also holds the Central Columbia Girls Track and Field as well as and District Four record in this event.  During the 2014 Track and Field season, this relay team was able to complete the season undefeated in all meets. This team was coached by Fred Lenig and Nate Johnson.

2014 Softball Team

The 2014 Softball Team captured the PHAC, District Four and PIAA State Championships which was a first for a Central Columbia Softball Team.  This team established the attitude and motivation early in the season which drove them to a state championship.  Members of this team were Kimberly Hollister, Brooke Klingerman, Chrissy Yoder, Emily Grosz, Katie Cohen, Mackenzie Klinger, Marissa Shelhamer, Megan Grozier, Paige Siegrist, Rachel Davis, Emily McCracken, Elle McDanel, Allison McCracken, Stephanie McGuiness and Carley Swisher. The 2014 Softball Team was coached by Head Coach Duane Ford and his assistants were Duane Karchner and Sandra Minnick. This team captured the state title defeating Bald Eagle Area 13 to 5, while setting a state record scoring those 13 runs in a championship game.  This team was comprised of many multiple sport athletes that excelled at each sport they participated in here at Central Columbia.
