The Pennsylvania Association of Agricultural Educators (PAAE) held its annual conference July 7-9, 2026, at Tulpehocken High School. Mr. Douglas G. Brown, Agricultural/Environmental Science Instructor and FFA Advisor at Central Columbia High School attended the conference. While attending the conference, Mr. Brown participated in numerous professional development workshops aiding in classroom and laboratory instruction, attended the PAAE Business Session, and finally attended the annual awards banquet ceremony. While attending the banquet, Mr. Brown was presented with numerous awards: PAAE Years of Service Award-Mr. Brown will be heading into his 36th year of teaching agricultural/environmental science at Central Columbia, PAAE public advocacy award in promoting agriculture across the commonwealth and outside of Pennsylvania boundaries, PAAE Incentive Award, and lastly Mr. Brown was presented with the PAAE Outstanding Service Award.

Mr. Brown has served PAAE in many roles such as the Scholarship Committee Chairperson, Regional Vice-President, Conference Planning Committee Chairperson, Conference Planning Committee, Conference Host, State and Regional Leadership workshops and presentations. Mr. Brown has been a life member of PAAE for 35 years and is also an active annual member of the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE).
