On November 13–14, members of our Health and Physical Education Department attended the annual SHAPE PA Conference in Altoona, Pennsylvania. SHAPE— the Society of Health and Physical Educators—brings together educators from across the state to share best practices and explore new ideas in health and physical education.
Ms. Richardson, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Zysset participated in multiple sessions focused on current pedagogical approaches. Presentation topics included integrating social-emotional learning (SEL), implementing skills-based health instruction, creating meaningful and engaging physical education activities, and developing effective fitness programming.
